Abstract: Analysis of time-series of power loads in Europe is performed.
Firstly, we detrend oscillations that naturally exhibit in the datasets then
Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis is executed. We also performed
additional tests -- shuffling of datasets and surrogated datasets -- to
obtain valuable information regarding the autocorrelation function, the
distribution function as well as robustness of the results with respect to
non-linear affects. All datasets exhibit multifractality in the distribution
function and the autocorrelation function. The difference is present in the
width of multifractal spectra, where almost all states posses narrow
multifractal spectrum with only few examples with the wide multifractal
spectrum. We state a hypothesis that the width is entangled with structure
of sources of electric energy.
