Abstract: In this talk I will present some recent results in the area of quantum walks. I will present the results from a recent experiment of a "2D" walk, one of the first of its kind. In this experiment we have control over the walk as it takes place, as opposed to the static walks previously seen. I will then introduce a new type of quantum walk in a medium which allows for the creation and destruction of walkers.
